Send files from an iPhone to a PC without a cable
Photos, videos, PDFs – straight from the iPhone to your Windows or Linux PC over Wi-Fi. No cable, no iTunes, no cloud upload.
On Linux: AirDrop
With a supported Wi-Fi card (MediaTek MT7925, Intel in exclusive mode), your Linux PC appears in the iPhone's AirDrop list. Tap Share → AirDrop → your PC. See AirDrop for Linux.
On Windows and Linux: LocalSend
Install the free LocalSend app on the iPhone. It finds MultiDrop on the PC automatically; pick the files and the PC.
PC → iPhone
Pick the iPhone in MultiDrop; LocalSend on the iPhone receives the files. The browser download needs no app, but Safari on many iPhones refuses it on a home network.
Questions
Is it private?
Yes. Transfers go directly over your network, encrypted where the protocol supports it; there is no server and no account.
